Community Work

Where Personal Transformation Becomes

Relational Practice

We do not become ourselves first and then enter relationship. We become through the people, questions, and communities that shape how we live.

Community Work explores the living field between us: how we belong without abandoning ourselves, remain distinct without withdrawing, and participate in something larger without surrendering our authority.

Through Open Hearts ceremonies and other shared experiences, we create conditions for honesty, curiosity, play, and meaningful contact. The work is personal, but it does not happen alone.

Open Hearts is the most common doorway into this work.

"Being a part of this group of curious souls who are remembering how to live, love, thrive, and dive into the depths of self, to bring more of what I want to see in the world together, has completely changed who I am, how I see the world, and how I meet the struggles and aliveness of life."

Every Community Has Its Own Ecology

Every community has a culture. Some of it is consciously chosen. The rest emerges through habit, history, power, and invisible agreements. Our work begins by making that culture visible and participatory.

We use what we call How We Choose to Play: a living set of agreements rooted in presence, curiosity, consent, personal authority, responsibility, repair, freedom, and care for the whole. These are not rules or an ideology. Each person is invited to question, contribute, disagree, and express what is true for them.

Shared language, frameworks, music, rituals, stories, food, and humor become threads of relationship. They gather attention and return us to what we are creating together. What we share helps us belong. What remains distinct keeps the community alive.

When a Gathering Becomes Community

A room full of people is not yet a community. Community begins when attention starts moving between us and we become participants in something together.

In our experiences, attention is not held only by the facilitators or turned only inward. People encounter one another through conversation, reflection, music, ritual, expression, and play. Recognition creates connection. Shared meaning can deepen intimacy. Intimacy can make more honesty and experimentation possible.

The people who gather do not need to share the same beliefs or answers. There is room for depth and lightness, tenderness and irreverence, devotion and doubt, independence and intimacy.

Belonging here does not ask anyone to disappear. Connection says: you are here. Participation says: what you bring matters. Each person remains their own center while helping shape a communal We that none of us can create alone.

We may create the initial conditions: an invitation, a ceremony, a shared framework, music that gathers attention, food around a table, or a question that makes something visible. What grows from those conditions belongs to the people who meet there.

Community Work does not end when the gathering closes. People may choose to keep meeting. Friendships deepen. Dinners happen. New collaborations emerge. People travel, celebrate, exchange opportunities, and remain present through loss, transition, and joy.

Shared language, values, songs, stories, and memories travel with them. A familiar phrase can reopen curiosity. A song can return someone to a shared field from far away. A framework can help people meet tension without becoming enemies.

We may help open the door. What people create together afterward belongs to them.

What Continues Afterward

From the Community

"Lilit and Omer provide the most natural conditions for opening deeper and diving within. Truly a gift to yourself to take this time out of time to dance with others, settle quietly within, and find a community of like-minded, heart-centered others."

— Marlin

"I am grateful to you all for the love, energy, and courage you bring to share. It is a cocoon to explore and become our truest self. I have never felt such freedom. And jeez, it is fucking fun sometimes!"

What Community Makes Possible

Each person brings something no one else can. In a living community, difference can become contribution rather than threat. Someone else’s courage can invite our own. Their questions widen what we see. Their gifts, edges, and perspectives expand what the community can imagine and create.

This is the possibility of the communal We: not sameness or belonging at the expense of self, but a living field where each person can become more fully themselves while helping shape something none of us could create alone.

Open Hearts: A Community Ceremony

Open Hearts is the most common doorway into our Community Work.

Most people join individually after a private intake conversation. They enter a small gathering that may include familiar faces, strangers, or people they have encountered through the wider Curious Souls community.

Open Hearts is a ceremonial experience for exploring our inner and relational worlds through consciousness-altering substances, music, ritual, curiosity, and play. There is room for honesty, tenderness, expression, connection, and belonging without asking anyone to abandon themselves.

The ceremonies take place in beautiful, welcoming homes. Through warm lighting, evocative music, scent, nourishing food, and thoughtful details, the familiar becomes enchanted. You do not leave ordinary life behind. You enter it differently.

Come as you are. Bring what is true. Meet the people, feel the field, and discover what becomes possible between us.
